Behind Funk Shui Fine Jewelry, is Shelby Chenault. Shelby has been a jeweler for nine years, specializing in metal fabrication, engraving, and stone setting.

 

The natural world and its incredible treasures are what originally lead her to this craft. In 2015, while she was a member of a Gem and Mineral society she took her first wire wrapping class. From there on her love for making jewelry became equal to her love for stones and Funk Shui was born.

 

In the 9 years since, she has continued her education. In 2018, she took her first metal-smithing course at the Denver Jewelry School. In 2021 and 2022 she attended New Approach School for Jewelers to study stone setting and engraving.

She draws inspiration from sacred geometry, botanicals, colors, architecture, and the stories she has the honor to hear working with her custom clients.

Jewelry making and creativity are Shelby's passions and calling. In May 2024, she is opening Funk Shui Studios in Denver, Co. This will be a public studio where she hosts jewelry workshops and private lessons to share her knowledge and skills, and more importantly her love for this craft.
